I grew up in the 60s in a Long Island community located near the community where Kilmeade grew up.

Kool-Aid was a very popular SUMMER refreshment served by many moms in my community. We even used to wet our fingers, dipping them into the sugary powder before licking the sweetness from our fingers.

I am reading comments that Fox News is a white supremacist, racist media outlet.

I have a question.

Is Bill O’Reilly racist for repeatedly addressing with many different guests, America’s expanding and shameful National Epidemic of Childhood Abuse and Neglect, aka Poverty, that for more than two generations has deprived untold numbers of American kids from experiencing and enjoying a fairly happy American kid childhood with Safe Streets to travel and play on.

Child Abuse and Neglect that is primarily responsible for populating our prisons with depressed, angry, frustrated, undisciplined, unpredictable, sometimes suicidal teens and adults full of resentment for irresponsibly being introduced to a life of hardships and struggles.

Early Childhood Abuse and Neglect that often leads depressed, sometimes suicidal (NY Times May 18, 2015 – Rise in Suicide by Black Children Surprises Researchers) children to develop into depressed, angry, frustrated, unpredictable, sometimes suicidal teens and adults lacking empathy and compassion for others, though needing to vent their pent up negative emotions, often causing emotional and physical harm to peaceful people…instead of venting their anger, resentment and pain on the immature single moms and/or dads who introduced them to a life of pain and struggle by irresponsibly building a family before acquiring the practical skills, PATIENCE and means to successfully raise and nurture a developing young child who matures into a fairly happy responsible teen and adult with mostly fond memories of his or her childhood.

The question all concerned, compassionate Americans should seriously be asking ourselves, our elected, civil, social, community and religious leaders is, what real, substantial changes in our society’s attitude and laws need to occur to prevent abuse that often causes young kids to mature into depressed, frustrated, angry teens and adults as a result of experiencing the emotional and/or physical trauma of an abusive childhood?

Is Police Misconduct and Child Abuse-Neglect Intertwined?

Hello. After spending twelve years in the 80s-90s providing police services to the Brooklyn community Shawn Jay Z Carter raps about using his semi-auto “Mack Milli’ to dominate and cause fear to peaceful people for the purpose of protecting his gang’s 24/7 drug operation, it was fear for my personal safety that finally drove me from a community I considered my second home because I spent so much time there.

Sadly, I have few doubts that some Americans fail to perceive or willfully ignore some reasons for why at times, police are less than professional or act in a manner inconsistent with their scope of employment.

Not that I believe police acting outside the scope of their employment is acceptable, I just understand that witnessing on a daily basis – violence, people’s lack of respect for each other as well as our laws, sadness, children emotionally scarred by their immature single-moms; doomed to a life of struggle and hardships – can have detrimental effects on the psyche of most people born or imbued with a sense of compassion, empathy and respect for others.

Some officers recognize they are burnt, they no longer feel a desire to serve a community that has diminished their faith in the goodness of human kind, a community that constantly has them in self-protection mode whenever they are working in the community, or even commuting to and from the community in their private cars.

These officers intelligently seek a transfer to a more stable community, while others remain, mostly because of established friendships with colleagues, allowing and in some cases not realizing the emotional pain they experience from witnessing human suffering on a daily basis is insidiously eating away at them, and at times affecting their professional conduct and in some cases their emotional well being.

During the hiring process we subject police candidates to psychological exams to insure they are normal stable people. Then we place these normal, stable people into an environment they are totally unaccustomed to, often dangerous environments, and we expect them to remain normal people when they are constantly and justifiably told by their supervisors to be safe, while reading crime reports that indicate they are not safe.

Sure, these officers are not in a war or battle, yet the chances for stumbling upon a gunfight or being attacked for no reason are greater in a community with a general flavor for lawlessness.

One sunny afternoon I was at the scene of a shooting, surrounded by dozens of civilians and a dozen or more cops, when a second person was shot no more than one hundred yards away. Tell me that would not give you goosebumps.

This anecdote is a tip of the iceberg.

One afternoon I’m on my way home stopped at a traffic light when gunfire erupts, three men carrying handguns run by me, enter a waiting town car.

Risking my safety I follow in my pvt car attempting to learn more about the suspects as they unobtrusively leave the scene. They stop at a house about ten blocks away, me not being a hero willing to confront three armed men with my two-inch six shot revolver, spend several minutes trying to locate a working payphone to report my observations.

Heading back to the scene I learn the three people shot, their neighbors who at the time of the shooting were hanging on their front stoops, provided the police with NO information about the shooting or the shooters, I was the only witness to come forward, and it isn’t even my community.

While at the scene, the same town car I observed picking up the shooters several minutes earlier, arrives back on the scene operated by a man we detained and soon learned was wanted for a totally unrelated shooting that occurred a few weeks earlier.

Driving home that night I asked myself, “Why do I do this? Five, sometimes six days a week making this long drive, placing my safety at risk for people who either hate me, or people justifiably afraid and equally fearful of the people who hate me.”

A few days later I went to my CO and requested a transfer, advising him, “Lou, I’ve had enough of the nonsense, it’s time for me to go.”

Within a week he hooked me up with a transfer to a more stable community, closer to home. A community where fewer people viewed me as the enemy, and many actually openly appreciated the police, sharing words of appreciation often harshly frowned upon by many in the Brooklyn community I was forced to abandon, due to my level of fear that gradually built up and intensified over a period of nearly twelve years.

I knew when I had enough of the emotional turmoil I experienced from witnessing mayhem and violence on a daily basis. I made the intelligent choice to protect my emotional well being by leaving this Brooklyn community which was the cause for my fear and anxiety.

Unfortunately some cops ignore the signs of stress and anxiety, indicating that it is time for a change of venue, instead choosing to remain in their second homes where they have built friendships and bonds.

I fear nothing will change until Americans honestly recognize that bringing children into our world without first acquiring the skills to properly love and nurture a child, or having the skills or means to independently provide for a child’s upbringing, may result in a child growing up filled with anger and frustrations, needing to vent those emotions, sadly, not in a constructive manner.

This is a social/human behavioral problem I’ve witnessed happening for decades in some/many American communities.

Unfortunately for police, they are tasked with coping with the anger and frustrations of children irresponsibly introduced to our world by people who had no socially accepted right making babies before acquiring the skills, PATIENCE and means to provide their developing newborns, infants, toddlers, children and teens with a safe, fairly happy American kid childhood.

Sadly, Baltimore Mom of The Year is a perfect example of a immature teen girl irresponsibly building a family that she subjected to a early life of pain and struggle.

Ms. Toya Graham, is not alone. She is only one of countless teen girls and women who in my opinion are responsible for populating our prisons with depressed, angry, frustrated, unpredictable, sometimes suicidal teens (NY Times May 18, 2015 – Rise in Suicide by Black Children Surprises Researchers) filled with resentment for being introduced to a life of pain, though unwilling to blame their moms and or dads for making selfish choices that negatively impacted the quality of their young lives.

To be clear, I am not suggesting Child Abuse and Neglect are the only factors for police acting outside the scope of their employment.

However, I honestly believe that reducing Child Abuse and Neglect will not only reduce the number of African American children committing suicide, reducing Childhood Abuse and Neglect will result with fairly happy children maturing into fairly happy teens and adults who will find more constructive activities to pursue, rather than anti-social activities that emotionally and/or physically harm their peaceful neighbors and police who try to protect peaceful people from harm.

The question all concerned, compassionate Americans should seriously be asking ourselves, our elected, civil, social, community and religious leaders is, what real, substantial changes in our society’s attitude and laws need to occur to prevent abuse that often causes young kids to mature into depressed, frustrated, angry teens and adults as a result of experiencing the emotional and/or physical trauma of an abusive childhood?

Yesterday morning at about 10:30 my doorbell rang. There stood a huge African American man with a friendly smile advising me he’s here to read my gas meter.

About 4PM I head to the market, three check-out lines are open, one manned by a young woman of African descent.

Head over to Home Depot, needing to replace a hose on the washing machine. A polite young man of African descent tells me right where the part is located on the aisle, I’m in and out in less than ten minutes.

Seems many of my neighbors of African descent are pursuing their vision of happiness, not unlike many or most of my neighbors.

I’m not sure what they should be “resisting”, I get the impression they just want to peacefully live their lives like everyone else who goes to work to provide for themselves and their families.

I don’t know whether to laugh or cry at Mrs. Hillary Clinton’s WILLFUL ignorance regarding America’s expanding and shameful National Epidemic of Childhood Abuse and Neglect, Poverty, that for more than two generations has deprived untold numbers of American kids from experiencing and enjoying a fairly happy American kid childhood with Safe Streets to travel and play on,

Child Abuse and Neglect that is primarily responsible for populating our prisons with depressed, angry, frustrated, undisciplined, unpredictable, sometimes suicidal teens and adults full of resentment for irresponsibly being introduced to a life of hardships and struggles.

Early Childhood Abuse and Neglect that often leads depressed, sometimes suicidal (NY Times May 18, 2015 – Rise in Suicide by Black Children Surprises Researchers) children to develop into depressed, angry, frustrated, unpredictable, sometimes suicidal teens and adults lacking empathy and compassion for others, though needing to vent their pent up negative emotions, often causing emotional and physical harm to peaceful people…instead of venting their anger, resentment and pain on the immature single moms and/or dads who introduced them to a life of pain and struggle by irresponsibly building a family before acquiring the practical skills, PATIENCE and means to successfully raise and nurture a developing young child who matures into a fairly happy responsible teen and adult with mostly fond memories of their childhood.

Mrs. Clinton’s ideology of dependency on government programs has created the problems and issues many African Americans are today dealing with.

Mrs. Clinton remains silent as untold numbers of immature teen and young adult moms create poverty by irresponsibly building families with too many mouths to feed…families that in order to survive are dependent on their responsible neighbors for financial support.

Many of these immature “living wild” (quoting 2015 Grammy winner Kendrick Lamar’s description of his mom) moms fail to socialize their children, and when their depressed, angry, frustrated, unpredictable, sometimes suicidal children mature into depressed angry frustrated, sometime suicidal teens and adults, they frequently engage in anti-social behaviors that emotionally or physically harm their responsible peaceful neighbors, resulting with police being called to deal with the human failures of immature moms who willfully ignore their children’s well being.

I am NOT excusing or condoning police misconduct or police who use excessive force. The police take a sworn oath to be a cut-above the average citizenry.

However, I am writing about what I personally observed are some of the causes for police acting outside the scope of their employment or themselves venting their anger and frustrations at being charged with dealing with depressed teens and adults who as developing young children were irresponsibly raised and nurtured by “living wild” single mothers who deprived their children of growing up in households supervised by two loving, caring parents.

Frankly, I am severely disappointed that American people like Mrs. Hillary Clinton REFUSE to recognize or acknowledge that a small population or sub-culture of immature, irresponsible FEMALES have abdicated their responsibility to their children, their neighbors and communities.

The question all concerned, compassionate Americans should seriously be asking ourselves, our elected, civil, social, community and religious leaders is, what real, substantial changes in our society’s attitude and laws need to occur to prevent abuse that often causes young kids to mature into depressed, frustrated, angry teens and adults as a result of experiencing the emotional and/or physical trauma of an abusive childhood?

Larissa Pham wrote, “It may be difficult to imagine that life at Yale, a site of immense privilege as well as a seemingly liberal oasis, could be tough for students at all in light of other, more violent instances of racism occurring across the nation.”

I recognize that racial prejudice exists in today’s America, though I refuse to accept that racism is prevalent in my country.

No way on Earth do a substantial number of Americans believe that people of African descent are inferior humans, therefore they should be dominated by superior humans, which is the definition of racism.

I believe America’s expanding and shameful epidemic of Childhood Abuse and Neglect has replaced the oppression and indignities of racism, resulting with my American neighbors of African descent experiencing prejudice from many peaceful Americans for not doing anything to educate or prevent immature teen girls and women from creating poverty by building families before acquiring the skills, PATIENCE and means to provide their child or children with a safe, fairly happy American kid childhood with Safe Streets to travel and play on.

Please allow me to explain why I hold this belief.

Early in my police career when I was assigned to the Brooklyn community Shawn ‘Jay Z’ Carter raps/writes about attempting destroy by selling poison to depressed people living and working in his community, and rapping about engaging in extremely harmful anti-social behaviors designed to protect his drug operation from rival gangs in adjoining neighborhoods, a few of my training officers advised me to be prepared to experience “culture shock.”

When I asked what is meant by “culture shock,” I was told, “You’ll find out.”

I did find out what “culture shock” is, though it was not a culture of violence and harmful anti-social activities many were insinuating I would be shocked by.

The aspect of this Brooklyn, NY community that shocked me to the core was witnessing children being emotionally scarred by an American Sub-Culture of Child Abuse/Neglect,” aka Poverty that Kendrick Lamar raps and speaks about some twenty-five years after I first witnessed the “American Sub-Culture of Child Abuse/Neglect” that today CONTINUES emotionally damaging many developing children and their communities.

I personally witnessed the emotional trauma and physical pain a young, neglected, unsupervised, Shawn ‘Jay Z’ Carter is responsible for causing, and its aftermath, leaving a community populated by mostly peaceful people fearing for their safety on a 24/7 basis, which are the hours Shawn’s crew/gang were selling community harming substances.

During the twelve years I served this community I met hundreds of peaceful people who were just as shaken, upset and deeply disturbed as I was by the daily displays of violence and other anti-social activities mostly caused by teens and adults who were victims of childhood abuse and neglect.

I was lucky, at the end of my workday I could leave the community, returning to a more peaceful residential community where concerns for me and my family’s safety were significantly lower.

However, virtually all of my civilian co-workers, mostly loving, competent moms living in this community were not as fortunate. They were burdened with stresses and challenges my parents did not face to any significant degree.

The added stresses and challenges my peaceful co-workers faced was preventing their children from being negatively influenced by abused, neglected, unsupervised children being raised and nurtured by immature, “living wild” teen moms and young women who irresponsibly begin building families before they acquired the skills, maturity, PATIENCE and means to independently provide for their family of developing children.

In his 2015 Grammy award winning Rap Performance titled “I”, Kendrick Lamar writes, “I’ve been dealing with depression ever since an adolescent.”

During a January 20, 2011 LAWeekly interview Kendrick, born in 1987, the same year songwriter Suzanne Vega wrote a song about child abuse and VICTIM DENIAL that was nominated for a Grammy award, told the interviewer:

“Lamar’s parents moved from Chicago to Compton in 1984 with all of $500 in their pockets. “My mom’s one of 13 [THIRTEEN] siblings, and they all got SIX kids, and till I was 13 everybody was in Compton,” he says.”

“I’m 6 years old, seein’ my uncles playing with shotguns, sellin’ dope in front of the apartment. My moms and pops never said nothing, ’cause they were young and living wild, too. I got about 15 stories like ‘Average Joe.'”

It seems evident to me Kendrick identified the source of his depression, the roots of poverty, the child abuse/maltreatment that prevented him, his brothers, sisters, cousins, neighborhood friends, elementary and JHS classmates from enjoying a fairly happy safe childhood.

Seems the adults responsible for raising the children in Kendrick’s immediate and extended family placed obstacles in their children’s way, causing their kids to deal with challenges and stresses young minds are not prepared to deal with…nor should they or any other children be exposed to and have to deal with.

It seems evident to me these PARENTAL INTRODUCED obstacles and challenges cause some developing children’s minds to become tormented and go haywire, not knowing OR NOT CARING ABOUT right from wrong…because as they mature, young victims of child abuse realize their parents introduced them to a life of pain and struggle, totally unlike the mostly safe, happy life the media showed them many American kids were enjoying. RESENTMENT

I wonder how little Kendrick and his classmates reacted when their elementary school teacher introduced the DARE presenter and they learned about the real dangers of drugs and how they harm people, including their parents? Cognitive Dissonance

I cannot speak for anyone else, but if I was raised in Kendrick’s family I would most likely be silently peeved at my parents. particularly my mom who had the final say on whether or not I was born, for being immature, irresponsible “living wild” adults who deprived me, my sisters and brothers of experiencing a safe, fairly happy Average Joe or Josie American childhood.

I have a feeling most Americans would have been just as shaken and disturbed as I was when witnessing on a daily basis children and teens being abused, neglected and unsupervised, which often resulted with them venting their anger and frustrations on their peaceful neighbors.

Listening to Herb I hear a young man who was deprived of a safe, fairly happy childhood by an immature teen girl or young woman who in all likelihood also deprived him of growing up alongside a responsible dad he could look up to and admire.

I just read some of Herb’s raps, thinking how sad it is that a young man born in 1995, essentially growing up in America’s 21st century, is sharing his experiences about child abuse, child neglect, child maltreatment, child and teen depression, lack of adult supervision, disrespect and violence against women, committing emotionally and physically harmful anti-social acts against peaceful people.

If young Herb Wright’s grandfather was a musician, in all likelihood he would have been composing beautiful music admiring, praising adoring wooing, lamenting, loving and respecting our moms, sisters, grandmas, daughters, aunts and nieces.

Yet young Herb, along with many of his locally and nationally popular male/female peers, compose rap music performances characterizing the MATERNAL HALF of our population as less than human*itches and *hores unworthy of respect.

Young rapper Herb Wright and many of the rappers he grew up admiring compose Rap artistry filled with depression or hate, frustration, anger and disrespect for their fellow man, woman and peaceful or less fortunate neighbors.

I cannot help feeling sad that virtually every person appearing on this channel has been touched or their early lives were profoundly influenced by selfish, immature decisions that led to them being deprived of experiencing and enjoying an Average Joe or Josie American kid childhood with safe playgrounds to have fun in, and Safe Streets travel on.

The same safe streets and fun playground I have few doubts Kendrick Lamar yearned for as he matured, becoming capable of assessing his family’s and a good number of his neighbor’s personal and societal shortcomings.

The question all concerned, compassionate Americans should seriously be asking ourselves, our elected, civil, social, community and religious leaders is, what real, substantial changes in our society’s attitude and laws need to occur to prevent abuse that often causes young kids to mature into depressed, frustrated, angry teens and adults as a result of experiencing the emotional and/or physical trauma of an abusive childhood?

I am curious to know where you read or learned that police were responsible for characterizing Furay as “an adorable drug dealer?”

JM, according to media reports naming the dangerous drugs she was allegedly selling, Sarah Furay is a hardcore dope dealer.

Sad that some media outlets choose to glorify her simply because of her appearance.

It is also sad that the media and many of our ignorant American neighbors glorify people like Shawn Jay Z Carter, Tupac Shakur and many others who rap or rapped about their real life experiences with selling harmful addictive drugs to their peaceful neighbors.

Makes me wonder, if Furay develops rapping skills during the time she will be spending in a jail or prison cell, when she is released will she rap well enough about her drug dealing ways and activities to earn her $$ contract with modern day slave masters like record producers Jimmy Iovine, Kanye West, Anthony “Top Dawg” Tiffith or any one of dozens of slave masters who exploit men and women rapping about harming their depressed neighbors by selling dangerous drugs to them that often end up emotionally or physically harming peaceful people when depressed people commit ant-social acts in order to purchase the drugs sold by selfish, anti-social creeps like Sarah Furay.

JM, as for drug dealing not being a violent crime, I must disagree with you and would be willing to state my case and provide evidence if you choose to reply.

This video depicts horrific examples of men who were victims of childhood abuse and neglect, conditioning a young teen to embrace ‘The Street’ culture Baltimore Mom of The Year failed to protect her teen son from…not to mention representing the fear peaceful people living and WORKING in the community experience knowing depressed, angry, unpredictable teens and young adults need to vent their angers and frustrations for being introduced to a life of pain and struggle by irresponsible, “living wild” single moms and/or dads.

A little girl, catching a cool breeze from an air conditioning unit in the yard, was blindsided by another child about her same age, who had evidently had some practice with fighting fierce. The small victim wasn’t alone, as there were plenty of nearby witnesses, who could have protected her but didn’t because they were too busy recording the brutal beat down and encouraging it. | Written By Amanda Shea

What I see in this recorded act of criminal child abuse, is adults conditioning children to embrace the cycle of child abuse, child maltreatment and violence passed down from generation to generation by depressed Americans who are content living in the poverty they are primarily responsible for fueling when irresponsibly birthing children from selfishness, instead of the love between two committed adult partners.

Reading Shawn “Jay Z” Carter describe the pain he caused to his neighbors and community, brought back painful memories, causing me experience much of the same anxiety and pain I experienced from personally witnessing the physical and emotional pain young Shawn Carter caused to individuals as well as an entire housing complex and surrounding neighborhoods.

In 1987, the same year emotionally depressed 2015 Grammy winner Kendrick Lamar was born, songwriter Suzanne Vega wrote a song about child abuse and VICTIM DENIAL that was nominated for a Grammy.

Suzanne nailed it, parents and caregivers do the most horrific things to their kids, yet many kids will defend their abusers, blaming themselves for their “blues,” bruises and injuries before admitting a parent/caretaker harmed them.

I really wish depressed, angry, frustrated unpredictable, sometimes suicidal teens and adults (NY Times May 18, 2015 – Rise in Suicide by Black Children Surprises Researchers) would turn their anger, outrage and resentment on THE SINGLE MOMS responsible for depriving them of experiencing and enjoying a safe, fairly happy American kid childhood when single-moms selfishly and irresponsibly introduced their children to a life of pain and struggle by building families before acquiring the skills, PATIENCE and means to raise a happy child who matures into a fairly happy teen and adult with mostly fond childhood memories.

I am not advocating violence, not by any means. I talking about a Million Victims of Child Abuse March begging teen girls and young women to become better, more responsible caregivers to their developing girls and boys.

It’s time to bring the OG Culture to an end.
